About Me

I'm a professional software developer. I've been working in the trade for 10+ years, with another 15 years "non-pro". I started back in the days of the Commodore Pet. I ended up at Kent State for 3 years, got bored, and went out to seek something more interesting.

I'm an aquatics enthusiast and have done everything from breeding wild-caught, imported freshwater fish, keeping saltwater fish, to setting up a greenhouse for culturing saltwater corals. I currently sell saltwater products from my greenhouse, including "live sand" and live foods (phytoplankton, rotifers, etc.).

I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty with hard work. I've started countless DIY projects, including full basement finishing, 600sq.ft. stamped concrete patio, garage finishing, replacing all carpet in our house with hardwoods, and several others. The key word is "started". I have a lot of interests and, sadly, get easily distracted.

My current interests include aquaponics, drip irrigation, solar water heating, and several software projects for social networks.

That should help set the stage for what will become my blog. To be honest, though, it may go the way of my other projects...short attention span. Only time will tell.
